UWF Singers

The UWF Singers is the flagship choral ensemble at the University of West Florida. Three additional choirs make up the trifecta of choirs at UWF -- the UWF Concert Choir (non-auditioned soprano/alto choir), the new Argo Chorus (non-auditioned tenor/bass choir), and the select Nautilus Chamber Choi,. All four groups are under the direction of Dr. Peter Steenblik.

UWF Singers -- SATB, 45-60 voices, auditioned, open to all degree programs. Performs 6-8 major concerts each year, plus a featured element of most major university functions. MUN 3313
UWF Concert Choir -- SA, 24-48 voices, non-auditioned, specializing in music written for the advanced women's ensemble. Register through the UWF Catalog. It is listed among MUN Music Ensembles as a Special Topics Course. MUN 3323
Argo Chorus -- TB, 12-24 voices, non-auditioned, specializing in music written for the tenor/bass ensemble. Not currently available through UWF for credit. Rehearsals are Tuesdays 4:30-5:20 and open to all.
Nautilus Chamber Choir -- SATB, 8-12 voices, auditioned, geared for advanced music students, however, select seats are made available to students from other disciplines. Currently dormant. Hoping to re-engage this ensemble soon. MUN 3363
Additionally, the UWF Summer Festival Chorus is open to singers of all musical levels from the greater area of Pensacola, ages 17 and up. The UWF SFC is a week-long music immersion experience that occurs twice each summer, evenings only. The group has performed such works as the Fauré Requiem, Bernstein Chichester Psalms, and Haydn Lord Nelson Mass. Come be a part of this amazing group of community members, students, and faculty.
