Dates & Procedure
All UWF Singers auditions will take place IN-PERSON this year.
This audition is more of a “placement audition” than it is an “admittance audition.” Such placement auditions are used for pedagogical and ensemble purposes, but are unlikely to restrict someone from participating in the group. Please register for the class prior to, or during the audition process--this ensures the course will work with your schedule. You needn’t wait for audition results before registering.
Auditions will be expected from ALL new and returning members of the choir. Please complete this AUDITION FORM which is designed to collect student information and interest. Forms must be completed by August 19, 2024 – the 1st day of school.

Argo Singing Scholars Info:New and existing students are encouraged to apply for the needs-based Argo Singing Scholars Award. This competitive award is provided by a generous, anonymous donor to assist students with the expenses associated with their chosen degree. While specifically seeking students of non-music study paths, all degrees are considered. The earliest applicants will be notified by May 1, but applications are accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed by committee. Applications for the 2024-25 school year are due by August 31.
This is a needs-based scholarship, so please provide as much information as you are comfortable in the answers you provide. All information will be handled with sensitivity. |
Larry Butler Memorial Scholarship Info:New students are encouraged to apply for the Larry Butler Memorial Choral Scholarship. This award is given annually to 4-8 deserving entry-level students as a 1-year, non-renewable choral scholarship, regardless of their chosen major. The aim is to locate students throughout the region who are doing great work in their junior colleges or high schools and assist them in some of the expenses during their first year at the university. No differentiation is made between music majors and those studying other exciting fields. Applications are due May 15. We are incredibly grateful for the Butler Family for providing this support.
